Custom Illustrated Wedding Thank You Cards (Printed & Printable) | A Luxury Personalized Keepsake
A Love Letter, Illustrated…
Hello Darling,
There is something I have always believed, long before I ever designed a wedding gown:
A card is never just a card.
It is a moment. A memory. A small, tangible piece of love that someone chose to send and someone else chose to keep.
And in many ways, that belief is what led me here.
Where This Began
Part of every wedding dress I create begins with a sketch.
Before the fabric, before the fittings, before the final gown ever exists… there is an illustration. It’s how I understand my bride. It’s how I translate her vision into something real.
But my love for cards didn’t begin there.
It began in childhood.
Every Christmas, my family would gather at my aunt’s home—the matriarch of our family. Her house was always full, always warm, always alive with tradition. And one of the most magical details?
She would save every Christmas card she received and tape them around the doorways as decoration.
Me and my cousins would stand there, reading them, laughing, guessing who sent what. Those cards weren’t just paper—they were part of the celebration. Part of the story.
Years later, in college, a friend sent me a fashion-illustrated card that simply said something like “let’s have lunch.” I remember thinking it was the most charming thing I had ever received.
Then, when I had a roommate who was also an artist, she once made me a handmade card—and I kept it.
And then, love deepened it all.
Before my husband and I were even engaged, he would give me cards constantly—every few days, every week—each one documenting our story. Where we were. What we had been through. What we were building.
I didn’t just read them.
I felt them.
I kept them.
And somewhere along the way, I realized… I had always been collecting moments through paper.
When Illustration Met Meaning
When I began designing wedding gowns, it felt natural to incorporate illustration into my process. And when brides started purchasing gowns from me, I began turning their gown sketches into cards—something they could hold onto long after the wedding day.
But something unexpected happened.
They didn’t just love the dresses.
They loved the cards.
Brides began telling me, “You should sell these.”
So I listened.
I brought them to bridal markets. I shared them at expos. And then, one beautiful turning point—
I was commissioned to create an entire suite: cards for the bride, her bridesmaids, and her mother.
It was received with so much love.
And then this year, everything expanded.
A bride asked me two simple questions:
“Can you draw a man?”
“Would you create wedding thank you cards?”
And the answer was easy.
Yes.
(Designing menswear was actually part of my background—so this felt less like a leap and more like a return.)
And just like that… this next chapter of CoutureCards™ was born.
